Halloween is coming!!!!!!!

The pictures are not very clear they where taken before a birthday party. Better ones will come.. As you can see Kiersten is a vampire this year. Her hair is white but again bad pics. She said that it is Halloween and she did not want to be cute she wants to be scary. When we went to the party everyone told her how cute she is. Yeah now she wants to change her costume.. Oh and Kris I added that song for you by the way. I hope you enjoy it......

Country Squirrel Hunting!

I had a couple of pictures of our trip in Ryan's phone. How could I have forgotten these!!!!! While in Kentucky, Kiersten wanted to go squirrel hunting. Ryan, Kiersten and Gramps went one morning out on my fathers land. I stayed back at dad's house. As much as Kiersten always said she wanted to go and shoot a squirrel I didn't think she would be able to bring herself to actually go hunting. They took off early morning back in the hills. A couple hours later dad and I was sitting on the front porch and around the house Kiersten came a running so excited and laughing. She almost threw the thing into my face. I couldn't help but to laugh. It had a stick shoved into it's foot so she could carry it. She was so excited about it and I was too. Until she said that she wanted Gramps to fry it up so she could eat it. And they did. They fried it up and Kiersten ate her some squirrel meat. Oh how I miss country living. Some will not know what to think of this but others they know exactly what I mean by saying how I miss country living. Ain't nothing else like it!!!! I am and will always be proud of my roots.. Back in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky is where both myself and Ryan was raised!!! Ryan and I have been away from home for 10 years now. I really miss Kentucky and all my family.

The road trip.

We made a trip to Kentucky for Amber's Wedding. For those that do not know Ryan has twins for sisters and Amber is one of them! The wedding was absolutely beautiful. She looked amazing in her gown. Along with being apart of this beautiful occasion we had a wonderful time visiting Ryan's family and my father in Kentucky. Then we headed further north to Ohio to see my mother, sis, the rest of the family and of course Brooke my niece! Again loads of fun in Ohio. Our whole trip was fun. Anyone that knows the Galovics family will not be surprised to hear that we made it to Texrakana and realized we forgot our camera. I was so disappointed. As soon as the family send us their pictures oh yes I will be posting them!! While living the 5 years here in Texas this makes Kiersten and I 7 times we have drove the long road trip. We've flown a couple times but driving is way better. I really believe nothing is better for a family then to have to spend time with each other. No T.V., computers, other rooms to go into. Nothing. Spending quality time together making each other laugh and sharing stories. We have lots of fun on our road trips. Kiersten is just amazing on how she behaves. I really need to remind everyone to hurry and send the pictures..

flower dress

The hunt for the dress is over. I can't even begin to tell you how many dresses Kiersten looked at. In stores as well as on line. Dress after dress, after dress. Ryan, Kiersten and I went to Waco to the Davids Bridal. Kiersten had several in the dressing room. She would only come out wearing a couple of dresses. It didn't matter how pretty we may have thought they where. If Kiersten didn't like the least little thing on the dress she wasn't going to come out. So she picked this one out. I was surprised. I think it looks beautiful on her.. I can't wait for the wedding. Amber's wedding will be the 3rd time Kiersten will have the honor of being a flower girl.

Peter Pepper What????????

Dena went home to her family. Dena's parents have a garden. Dena brought me some fresh produce from the garden. Dena has problems. Look at these peppers. They are actually called PETER PEPPERS. You can figure out why they are called what they are. Last night Ryan and I chopped the little peter things up and added them in our Taters.. They where good.........

Sleep over

Saturday Kiersten and her three friends came over for the night. Ryan thought it would be fun to put up a tent and camp out in the back yard. The kids and Ryan went out in the field of trees behind the house and gathered wood for the fire pit. We made strawberry and chocolate S'mores. After the mess of the marshmallows we played light tag in the trees. We had a lot of fun. Even though it was last min and in the back yard everyone had a blast, until they decided to tell ghost stories!

Giving Back

I have always been one that would rather give then to receive. I would love Kiersten to get involved with volunteer work as well. At her age, and this is just my personal beliefs, I don't think she is ready for a food pantry or feeding the homeless. I do not think she is to young to help. She is to young to understand why some people live in the streets. To young to understand why some do not have family that can help them out. When the time comes where Kiersten will learn to understand I will be more then willing to let her volunteer. Until then I came up with something else. I thought since Kiersten loves animals we can help out there. I went to the NO KILL animal shelter this morning and signed us up for our volunteer services. We start 7 am Monday morning. Some of our task will be cleaning the dog kennels, cat litter boxes, feed and water all animals and walking the dogs. Kiersten is so excited to do this. She understands that we are there to work not just play and that we can not take any of the pets home with us. I am really excited about giving back and I am so happy that she is as well.

YUMMMM Thanksgiving

I love everything about Thanksgiving! Yeah, yeah it is July and Nov is many months away. I just can't help it... The season changing, fall decorations, friends and family over. The smell of pumpkin pie candles throughout the house. Can you smell it? Placing the the bale of hay with the scarecrows in the front yard. Oh the joy! Leaves changing colors. Such excitement, I love it!! Yep Kris, I think we might have to do another "early" Thanksgiving dinner!!!! Years ago while stationed in Alaska Kris couldn't wait for Thanksgiving to come. SO we had us an early Thanksgiving, it was wonderful. Nothing better then celebrating 2 Thanksgivings in a year! HAPPY EARLY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE... It is never to early to start thinking what all you are thankful for this year. I for one have lots to be thankful for.

What I love (sarcasm)

These are a couple of examples that makes my butt hurt.

Telemarketers at 8 a.m.. Walking through a yard stepping in dog poo. Commercials on the radio. Rude cashiers. Car sales associates, no such thing as just wanting to look. Cantaloupe. Outside people suggesting what is the best thing I should do for Ryan and Kiersten. Burning Dinner. Falling in the shower, hallway, kitchen or anywhere else in my house. Receiving the "bird" while I am driving. Inpatient people. Child molestation, your days of punishment haven't begun. Doctors, they know everything cause their the doctor. Jack Russel's. Having to change the oil every 3,000 miles, before I know it oil is due. My neighbors. Dorito breath enough said. Jar lids that are impossible to open. Our President, I think it's only fair to treat yours the same as you treated mine. Bugs doesn't really matter a bug is a bug. Sugar free drinks. Walmart, they are taking over the little man with their China made everything but yet I find myself in one all the time. Finally the importance of money. It is such a terrible thing how much money effects everything today. Many have said money doesn't make you who you are, nor does it bring you happiness. I disagree and for that I am ashamed.

The pain, the suffering

After gymnastics us and another couple decided to go out to dinner. While saying goodbye Ryan jumped in our car, I was still standing outside with the door opened. For whatever reason Ryan felt it necessary to roll up the window because of the AC. Made no sense what so ever seeing the door was opened. My window was barely cracked and my mouth running 90 miles and hour. I paid no attention that my finger was in the way. Oh the pain. I have had my finger smashed I can't begin to tell you how many times but nothing compares to that pain. It hurt I was in tears. Everyone else was smiling/ laughing.... :( It's ok I think I will pull through this and recover soon. Get well cards and flowers are welcomed.

Ryan, The softer side

In the last couple days life here has been go, go, go. Ryan had previously laid T-Bone steaks and Pork chops in the refrigerator to be thawed for him and Kiersten. With our running here and there we didn't cook the meat within the proper safety time. Here comes Ryan the softer side! He ran out of charcoal so he made a trip to the store. After he threw the meat on the grill I sat and wondered if he was really going to eat this meat. All I could do was think my goodness he is going to be up all night with an upset stomach. Then I hear him say "perfect" as he took a smell. Now he is grabbing the meat and not walking in the house with it but walking around the backyard placing each piece of meat on rocks. We have a couple large rocks in our backyard. I am laughing now. I could not believe what I was seeing. He looked up at me and said " Lisa, I am sure Dozer doesn't want his food mixed with dirt.'' The dogs loved their grilled steaks and pork chops. Ryan is such a softy. :o

Makeup Beauty

Nothing better then having friends over playing makeup beauty back in my younger days. Last night Kiersten's friend Kaitlyn came for a sleep over. It was such a joy watching these young girls play an old favorite! It was so silly listening to them talk explaining to one another the "proper" way to apply eye shadow.

Kiersten doing some research. One day she will regret doing this as much as she does. Oh I can't wait for the days where she is loaded down with homework....... Is that wrong of me?

For Dozer's Fans

I do believe Dozer has more family that misses him then me :( ..... Dozer is a huge part of our family. Yes I see my animals as part of our family. Those of you that doesn't love their pets, well doggonnit go and give them a hug. Go ahead I will wait.................. Dozer just turned 7 at the end of May. I hope that he will live a long doggie life with us. (Jennie, Amber I know you will enjoy these pictures)

2nd time around Northern Pike

Dumbass Lisa tried to update the blog and I deleted the whole dern post. I will try it again! While in Alaska Ryan and Roger took a fly in fishing trip to Minto Flats. Ryan caught a 39 inch Pike. During Ryans deployment I found a wonderful Taxidermist and sent several pictures of Ryan with the fish. We hung the "big un" between the black and cinnamon bear that he killed in Alaska as well. Always remember Don't feed the bears, they're stuffed.

Lisa's Dream car

No this isn't a joke. This is a 1970 VW Camper Van and it is my dream ride. I love it. I will NEVER have the grand opportunity to be a proud owner of one as sad as that sounds. It has been a battle for 9 1/2 years in this house. Ryan will not give in :( I have thought many times to just lay on the the floor kicking and screaming. Seeing that doesn't work with Kiersten I passed on that thought. I need your help. How can I convince Ryan that we really need to make "the sale" . I have been a good wife. Oh yeah one more thing I want to paint it. I want to paint a huge rainbow many, many colors with flowers. FLOWER POWER!! Flowers with a giant bumble bee. And of course I would put say no to drugs on the bumper. Yeah I don't know why Ryan isn't on board with this one. HUMMMMMMM I need help. Honestly you could see me driving this beauty can't you. I know you can I would look good behind the wheel.... I would rock out to Janis Joplin and John Lennon..
